Turners Funeral Service recently brought the local community together for a special fundraising event in support of Dementia UK’s Time for a Cuppa campaign, raising an impressive £1,420.01 for the charity.
Held at St Francis Church in Bramley, the event welcomed members of the public, local care homes, and key community contacts for a relaxed and friendly afternoon centred around tea, cake, and conversation.
Guests enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the day, including a tombola filled with prizes generously donated by local businesses and organisations, as well as a lively game of bingo. Adding to the atmosphere, a local ukulele group provided entertainment, helping to create a truly enjoyable and inclusive community gathering.
The event not only raised vital funds for Dementia UK, but also offered an opportunity for people to connect, share stories, and spend time together in a warm and welcoming setting – something that reflects the heart of Turners’ work within the community.
Speaking about the day, the team shared their pride in both the amount raised and the support shown by the community, with contributions from attendees and local organisations playing a key role in the event’s success.
