The weekly ‘Life after Loss’ cafe in Conisbrough have been particularly beneficial to families looked after by Turners Funeral Service.
Campaign Organiser Tracey Beavis supports bereaved individuals by offering peer support in a non-judgmental, safe space to talk, laugh, cry, and feel less isolated.
Turners Funeral Service’s Funeral Manager, Leanne Rookledge, expressed her pride in supporting the campaign. “The meetings in Conisbrough have already helped several of our families directly, even in the short spell of time it’s been operating. It’s a welcoming, safe place where people feel they can open up and speak about the things in life that they find difficult following bereavement, regardless of how long ago or recent their loss was.
It’s a real asset to our community and enables us to better signpost families to local aftercare once the funeral arrangements are complete.”
A special heart with ears pin badge has also been created to raise awareness and funds for the Life After Loss Grief Cafes in Conisbrough and Tickhill.
